Artist team Amanda Hughen and Jennifer Starkweather present mixed media works on wood panels and paper that map the Pacific Ocean and the forces that shape the Bay Area’s ever-changing shorelines. Informed by historic maps, environmental data and personal memories told by USF community members, each artwork explores both the natural and human influences on our oceans, including population growth, earthquakes, infill, flood mitigation projects, industry, and a rising sea level.
