Marc-Olivier Wahler is the former director of Palais de Tokyo (Paris, 2006-2012), former director of Swiss Institute (New York, 2000-2006), and currently the founder and director of Chalet Society (Paris). Through his leadership of institutions, Wahler is regarded as a fearless advocate for artists and one of the most inventive and adventurous curators working internationally. He has presented major projects by artists such as Charles Ray, Cady Noland, Christoph Büchel, Dieter Roth, Tom Friedman, Roman Signer, Camille Henrot, and Micol Assaël.

About the Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series
The Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series (VAS) provides a forum for engagement and dialogue with major figures in international contemporary art and culture. Through lectures, screenings, and performances, the series creates intimate connections between SFAI and the public, and invites individuals to contribute to the spirit of curiosity that drives the SFAI community.
