Come out to our guest speaker panel event on Thursday night! We'll get to hear first hand from four of our fellow Alliance members who have been through the Social Justice curriculum at San Quentin.
One of the main goals of Alliance for C.H.A.N.G.E. is to open a dialogue about the reintegration process for incarcerated people in the US prison system, as well as remove the stigma around them and their experiences. It is hard to fully understand just how difficult it can be to enter back into society after spending many years in prison; recidivism rates are high (especially for young people) and many have trouble finding jobs.
So, we've gone straight to the source and asked some graduates of the Alliance program to come talk at USF about their experiences in San Quentin and post-release (including Alliance Co-Founder Ernest Morgan) with all who can attend.
They're coming to talk about prison programming, rehabilitation, and reintegration, as well as take any questions about the Alliance program that you may have.
Coffee and dessert will be served, and we can't wait to see you all there!
