Beware Brits Bearing Gifts: A workshop on the strangeness of others….

Ben Francombe (Head of Theatre, University of Chichester UK) is coming to town and, as a gesture of affection for the people of San Francisco, he's brining a personal gift from Lil' Ol' England for each of the participants of this workshop. Each gift will be prepared by a different individual (all will be theatre students at the University of Chichester) and will offer something strangely British to the (Californian) participants… This will be a performance workshop, using materials that are strange and belonging to others, that leads to work that is both personal and strange, British and Californian, close and distant, sublime and ridiculous…

This FREE workshop is the latest in a series of workshop organised by CIIS to share ideas that have informed the creation of MFA Theatre-Performance Making, jointly run by CIIS and the University of Chichester.
