We are the GatorAiders and we are here to help you! We work together with the Undergraduate Advising Center in ADM 212, come visit us!
The Advising Center and the New Student Orientation office have developed a unique way for SFSU students to become paraprofessional staff for the Advising Center. The students trained in Counseling classes become peer advisors to new students and their family members during the summer and winter Orientations. At Orientation, GatorAiders assist the Orientation Director with Check-in, take a small group on campus tours, explain about the University's requirements, make recommendations on classes and course load, check students' Academic Progress Records, and in general, provide a positive role model for the University.
