This is the official page for the interdisciplinary program of Middle East and Islamic Studies at San Francisco State University.
The purpose of the Model Arab League/Middle East Studies Student Association (MAL/MESSA) is to provide an information and social network for Middle East Studies students; to include information, contacts, and a forum for the exchange of ideas regarding culture, politics, and language of the Middle East. In addition to weekly meetings, the MAL/MESSA organizes special events and debates, which cater to topics related to the discipline. MAL/MESSA is dedicated to raising awareness of Middle East topics among SFSU students on campus and off, in a way that is inclusive and strictly non-biased.
