The Department of International Business is one of the oldest and largest international business programs in the United States. In today’s dynamic global environment, international business competencies are imperative at all managerial levels. Our professors are committed to providing quality education to our students.
We also help them develop a better understanding of potential career paths and strategies for successful career development. Upon the completion of the program, our students will have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to perform successfully in domestic and international business environments.
More importantly, we aim to develop a global mindset in all our students. It is this global perspective that will enable our students to overcome the numerous ethical, social, cultural, political, economic, geographic, technology challenges to come.
We have over 600 students engaging in concentrated studies of international business at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. All of our faculty hold Ph.D.s and are experts in several different global areas, including a world renowned endowed chair, Dr Gerado Ungson. We are committed to developing future global leaders to work in business firms both large and small, in government, and in a wide range of international agencies dealing with international trade and foreign direct investment.
We offer a wide variety of classes, including import/export management, comparative management, international human resource management, global leader development, international law, global strategy, international aspects of innovation, international risk, as well as several different courses in a series of “Doing Business In…” Japan, Europe, Latin America, Greater China, and Southeast Asia.
