The cycle of where something once was and something new in its place reveals that nature is not linear and sequential, but stacked, layered, and added on. Traces are made and stamped permanently in time, never completely erased or replaced. Human identity works in similar ways. Traces is a show where the evidence of absence, the fleeting nature of time, the exchanges of identity, and the residues of the past are being discussed.
